A jar of overnight oats made with Ryedical rye bran and topped with fresh fruit

Ryedical Overnight Oats

Serves 1Prep: 5 minsChill: Overnight

If you only ever make one Ryedical recipe, make this one. Five minutes of stirring tonight, and tomorrow's breakfast is waiting in the fridge: cold, creamy, and carrying roughly 9g of fibre before you've added a single piece of fruit. No cooking, which is exactly how Ryedical is meant to be used.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Combine the oats, Ryedical rye bran, chia seeds, milk, honey, and cinnamon in a jar and stir well.
  2. Seal and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
  3. Stir, top with fresh fruit, and eat cold straight from the jar.

Notes

The rye bran softens as it soaks, so the texture lands closer to bircher than to raw bran. If you like it looser, add a splash more milk in the morning. One tablespoon of Ryedical adds about 5g of dietary fibre to the roughly 4g already in the oats†.

Contains gluten (rye, and oats prepared alongside rye). Not suitable for people with coeliac disease or non-coeliac gluten sensitivity.

†As part of a balanced diet.
